Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Arrives On Home Consoles This September

In September of 2011, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 has been released in Japanese Arcades. An update for the game, subtitled “Unlimited” has also been released with a balance patch, as well as 1 on 1 fights just like the old tekken days. And now, in September 2012, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 will arrive for consoles this upcoming September of 2012.

Exclusively on the console versions of the game, up to four players can control a single character and be able to play real 2v2 matches. With the new single character play, a 1v3 match with three players is possible as well.

Combot has also been announced to make a return since his appearance in Tekken 4, and he’ll be a customizable training robot to fight against in the new Fight Lab mode. Namco hints that this customizable fighter may be able to be used in normal game play as well

Namco also revealed that this console release will have many exclusive characters added to the game. While this is a very uncommon decision to make due to the support of the arcade scene, it may be possible to see these characters via update patch in the arcade release as well.

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is to be released for both Xbox360 and PS3 this September 2012!
