Today, EventHubs received an email containing official artwork for what looks like to be confirmed playable characters for the home console version of Tekken Tag Tournament 2.

You can click for a larger view

While True Ogre already exists in the game and his humanoid form reappearing in Street Fighter x Tekken, it was very plausible that this Ogre would make his way into the game as one of the new characters.

In the past, Angel was but a palette swap of Devil Kazuya, and share nearly move set in game. She was a playable character from Tekken 2 who’s story was focused mainly on stopping the devil gene from controlling Kazuya.

Kunimitsu, the female ninja, is the most requested character to make a return into the Tekken franchise and ever since her last appearance from the first Tekken 2 & Tekken Tag Tournament. She was the former member of Yoshimitsu’s clan and betrayed it for her own personal benefit.

With the three characters now in Tekken Tag Tournament 2, and the revival of Kunimitsu as a playable character, can we possibly expect them in future Tekken games?

TORYUKEN SPONSORS ON SITE

You guys know we have the best supporters for our Fighting Game communities, right?

These companies have helped make your tournament experience better than ever by providing prizes and awesome wares.
During the event, I recommend you visit their stores and check out their wares.

GDLK Apparel

GDLK Apparel is the sole provider of TORYUKEN T-Shirts. He will have them in stock during the event. GDLK will also have his own table. Do check out his other wares during the event. Can’t have you just wearing those plain white shirts. You my friend will need GDLK swag.

JUST-EAT.CA

The fella’s at Just-Eat.ca will be handing out flyers to everyone and Just-Eat.ca Coupon cards. Keep an eye out for them during the event.

You can buy Raffle Tickets in this table as well.

_________________________________
NO Money Matches Allowed on Saturday

There will be NO Money Matches allowed on Saturday. I understand you want to beat down on somebody and take their money but the OFFICIAL games has to get to a certain point on Saturday before any Casual gaming takes place. The Capcom Directors will certainly let you know when the time is right but for now, NO MONEY MATCHES ON SATURDAY.

Sunday is the perfect time to do Money Matches after the Capcom Directors states that stations are fully open for casual gaming. There will be open stations so don’t sweat, just don’t hinder the tournament on Saturday.

____________________________________
For People Who Entered More Than 2 Games

It is YOUR JOB to let the the Bracket Directors know that YOU ARE participating in a lot of games.
They cannot keep track of everyone and must go through their bracket.

I personally don’t like disqualifying anyone but if you hold the bracket, the hammer will strike upon your name.
Please make sure you let Bracket Organizers know where you are going so that they can mark you down. Just give them a warning.

______________________
NO FIGHTING OR ALCOHOL

I understand that sometimes, events such as this gets players too riled up and heated at times, please take it outside. If you start a fight in the venue, you will be forced to out with NO REFUND.

NO ALCOHOL ALLOWED IN THE VENUE. Again, you will be kicked out with NO REFUND.
Security is scheduled to do a walk around every 2 hrs. I’ve advised them to keep an eye out for such a thing during their rounds.

I don’t care if you are Justin Wong or an old school/respected player, please mind these 2 simple rules. Schedule a party after the tournament. Long Weekend should help you party harder.

_______
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

______________________________________
BRING YOUR OWN STICKS/CONTROLLERS:

The console equipment will be labeled and registered to ensure its safety. However, please be careful with your sticks. Furthermore, if you know you’re attending and you do not have a stick to use, make sure you have a friend who can donate. All singles matches will enforce a 5 minute rule and if you can’t find a stick within that time you will be disqualified. This is advance warning and will not be brought up again.

________________________
BROKEN STICKS/BUTTONS:

If you have any stick/button problems at anytime, STOP PLAYING, get up and inform a bracket director. The stick will be fixed/changed and the Judge will DECIDE the outcome. Please respect the Judge’s decision.

______________
EVENT RAFFLE

What kind of TTT tournament would it be without a raffle. I am currently discussing with Sponsors about prizes for the event.

___________
DONATIONS

As I mentioned above, this is the first ever EVO Qualifier in Toronto. You do not have to be an Official Sponsor to help out. If you would like to help, please contact russell@torontotoptiers.com. You will get free Swag for your helping.

____________
VOLUNTEERS

Do you want to be part of TORYUKEN but do not want to compete in any games? Enjoy the show by volunteering your services. I need people who can help with setting up, watching the door and merchandise throughout the weekend. Send a message to russell@torontotoptiers.com to find out what you need to know on your end.

_______________
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
If you are coming from out of town, please let us know. We want to make sure everybody is accommodated.
